Drag Gen III T3/T04E Turbo Specs?
Alright guys, I've looked high and low on this internet we have here, and I can't find the specs on my Turbo, at all. What's the AR, etc.... A little help.
It depends, you can change the specs if you want. Usually its a 50 trim compressor wheel and i THINK a 48 AR on the exhaust.
GSR its are supposed to be T3/T04E with a .63 A/R Stage 3 turbine and compressor is supposed to be a 54 trim wheel.
Civiv Si and Prelude kits are supposed to be T3/T04B with a .63 A/R stage 3 turbine aand a Super V compressor wheel, All compressor housings are 60 A/R
Reason I say "Supposed to be" is when I took my turbo off and before i sold it we took the turbine housing off and it was a Stage 1 wheel not a Stage 3 and the compressor wheel was the smallest T04B wheel an S trim instead of a Super V wheel.
I had heard a long time ago with the kits sometimes go out with what turbo they can get, I originally had a Ball Bearing upgrade for my DRAG 3 kit was backordered forever then I said forget it send the non BB. I studied up on turbos alot during my build up and we have taken a bunch of turbos apart, mine was the only one that came smaller than it was supposed to be. I confirmed these specs with Ben from ImportParts. Also we mic'ed all the wheels in case your wondering how we measured them. HTH

I had the LS kit and it was a T3/T4 .63 A/R Turbine, .60 A/R compressor with a 57 trim wheel. Not sure if it was the B or E family of compressors.
is it possible to have a .60 A/R compressor with a .60 Trim compressor wheel?

Yep you can have a 60trim with a .60 A/R. And xThexHeadx the B family is all letters ie S trim, V trim, H trim ecept for the 60-1, 60-1 HiFi and 62-1, the T04E family is all numbers 50,54,57 and 60 trim etc etc. Then the turbine wheels for T3s are numbers then when you go to a straight T4 trubine wheels are letters O,P, Q trim etc etc.

But see, it's weird, nothing is stamped on the housing at all, so how can I tell? The only thing stamped on the housing is the Turbonetics logo, and it was casat into the compressor housing. Everyone asks for specs all the time, and I'm in the dark. But I know for sure it was an Si kit, becuase the piping didn't fit so well
. But I'd really like to know what I'm running. I can build my entire motor and put it in myself in my garage, but I can't tell people what turbo I have... sounds lame to me, so I better figure it out. I'll call it a Mystery turbo for now.

My buddy just got a DRAG III kit for an LS TODAY and the sticker on the plastic wrap for the turbo said: .50, .63 A/R
Maybe they supply their kits with what spec turbo is handy at the time

yes make sure on the turbo that you get. the usualDRAG kit comes with the .50 or .54 on the E. but we have an option with our customers if they want it with the .57

Does anyone know the specs of the Drag kit that Importparts sells? My kit is supposed to be for B16 style intake/ head for the piping although I was told it is from the same turbo for the GSR. I have also been told the E "family" has 6 sets of blades on the intake side of the turbo as opposed to 7 sets of blades on the B style...Can anyone verify this and answer my question?

Mine has a .48
As for the compressor housing, some i'm not 100% sure but I believe on mine it is right next to the vacuum fitting as in this picture.
mine show's a 50
Also on some turbo's it is stamped on the inside of the compressor outlet...
Someone please correct me if i'm wrong...
As for the exhaust wheel specs, like stage I, II, III, etc, or any other info i'm missing, anyone's input would be appreciated...
