Off-road OBD-II Healer
I built a device for any ISO/KWP ECU that kills the CEL and sets the readiness codes for kicks and grins a while back. You plug a scanner in, any CELs are gone, readiness codes all pass, and you can still use your Scangauge or ELM device or whatever. I got my ECU K-Pro'ed and shelved the project. The thought resurfaced that I could sell it as an off-road device if I had some boards made. Is there a market for this kind of thing?
openly, publicly making something that can forge a bad car into passing will grab the wrong kind of peoples attention. scam artist, government officials...etc.
i think you have too much faith in people to use the product as you are intending and doing this out in the open isnt going to end well for you IMO. Incredibly sharp double edged sword.
Do I think there is a market? yes....but its a thin red line market and i'd be very careful.
