I was changing my cam seal and just inspecting the head I see this, what can cause this to happen, like stated do I need a valve lash or what any help so I don't mess this motor up (b20z2)

what are we looking at ? valve lash out of spec won't have any physical affects on the engine up top at least, will make the car run rough etc.

 

If you look directly under the bolt you'll see like scratches I'll put another pic

 

That scratch a inch or so under the bolt

 

My cylinder head has those and so did the head on my b20 I used for my b20V. I think they're there from the factory nothing comes near that area that's the thing, I don't have a pic or I'd show you both my cylinder heads.

 

Yeah I just thought for some reason the rocker arm was hitting the head I got scared for a second I don't want another engine blowing up on me pain in my *****

 

All the honda heads I've seen have those maybe cast marks
