Valve spring D16Y7 into D15B7
Hello,
I have a stock D15B7 in my EJ2 and the rev limiter is a 7200 RPM, but I found is high to stock header.
I have a D16Y7 header, this stock rev limiter has a 7200 RPM, so I would know if it possible to mount D16Y7 valve spring into D15B7 ?
Sorry for my very bad english
Thanks all

and the y7 stock is to only rev to 6800 not 7200.. changing the valve springs wont help at all. I would not rev either of these motors past the stock rev limiter. as said above they don't make any power up past 6500 without a cam...
D15B7 redline - 6500 RPM
D16Y7 redline - 6700 RPM
Rev limiter - 7200 RPM
Fact of the matter is, swapping out the valve springs will do absolutely nothing. Adding 200 RPM to the redline will do absolutely nothing. There's more to how high an engine can rev than just the valve springs - seat pressures, cam, head porting, bearings, and rod bolts ALL play a part in an engine's ability to rev high, as well as what they gain from revving high.
You could have a perfectly balanced rotating assembly with the best springs and rod bolts, and the most perfect bearing clearances in the world. You could have an engine capable of revving to 150,000 RPM. It isn't going to make power past where it's made to make power.

I have a D16Z6 intake, it help to "hight RPM", I have a rev limiter to 7200 because it's a "current" modify ecu in France, I don't ask at the mapper to modify the ecu for me
I would modify the valve spring for reliability, but it's not necessery, I forget it
