well i put a gsr bottomend with a b16 head and ctr pistons, it ran well with the rings that came with the pistons exept for burning oil out of #4 so we replaced all the rings with hasting rings ok now no more smoke (begining signs) the car is hard to start idels some times stalls out, crusing around and then it hit me smoke from the engine and white smoke was pouring out the back. shut the car off and pulled over i thoght i bblew the head gasket. i took of the head to find #4 if missing a chunk and the walls r f$%@ed i had a rige where the piston chunk melted to the wall and the valves where banged up the pistion ring where also bent and missing an inch the mech that put my rings in say its not his falt he says i ran lean but my car was going for 1000 miles (smoking oil) stong and after he puts the ring in 200 miles later this happens. i will amit the piston has extra metal (from the chunk) melted on the top of it but i fell it could be from it hitting the head. WELL WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW CAN I STOP THIS FROM REACURRING?
