Default Florida Man Charged in Federal Counterfeit Case

Marc Heera, 24 of Sunrise Florida was charged today with one count of trafficking in counterfeit goods, an offence that carries a statutory maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.
In the plea agreement, Heera admits that, beginning in 2009, he arranged for Hondata’s K-Pro and S300 devices to be reverse-engineered. Heera manufactured counterfeit circuit boards at his workplace which contained Hondata’s proprietary software. The counterfeit devices bore Hondata’s trademarked name, as well as counterfeit serial numbers. Heera also admitted creating counterfeit packaging, labels, instructions and compact discs for the devices. Heera has agreed to appear in federal court in Los Angeles for an arraignment on March 24.

“We will not sit by idly and let others profit from the theft of our years of research and development. This individual has cost our company and customers hundreds of thousands of dollars and look forward to justice being served.” says Hondata president Doug Macmillan. “We fully intend to bring any and every occurrence of intellectual property theft and counterfeiting to the appropriate authorities to protect ourselves and our customers.”

The investigation in this matter was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

That is great. Now that this is out of the way, fix the bugs in the software. It sucks to make changes that don’t hold and such.

I don't have such issues...
Sounds like user error to me.

If you want examples of user error I will post pictures of the ECU that I had you guys install an S300 into. Somebody needs Dremel tool classes. I am not the only one with the issue compensation and 3D map issues.

The other guy having these same issues is a tuner. I have uninstalled and reinstalled on 3 (yes THREE) different PCs ranging from Vista to Windows 8 and ALL have had the same issue. Same with friends computers... Thanks for your input though.
