thank you
If it makes you feel any better ive been driving my car with the sensor busted like that for 2 years without any issues. Makes it easier to work on tbh.
I guess you could wedge a piece of paper when you put the cable in to wedge it in place

They dont have a clamp. They use a pin that slides through the gap where yours broke, and through the groove in the cable. I see plenty that have broken at the slot cut into them.
And im not 100% but I think they all work.
I just looked it up. The 93 gsr has the same part number for the speed sensor as a 90 ls 5 speed.

The 90 autos have a different part number but im almost positive I ripped the sensor im using in my car out of a 90 auto, and I have a 92-93 ls 5speed in my car

Exactly my point...use the vss that came with the car or the same type.... in other words a hydro vss will bolt up but not work in a da.... its electronic whereas the da is mechanical
i sure hope so. thanks, dick
[QUOTE=ghosthatch;49536299]note the pictures... they arent the same length. now what?
The sensor on the right is a D series cable and the one on the left is a B series Cable. I have a B series cable sensor for you. I will PM a price.

[QUOTE=Synchrotech-Transmissions;49550170]actually i pulled that straight out of my ys1 ls b series transmission
The sensor with the plastic gear on it is from an L3 88-91 Cable D series. Someone must have installed the wrong one in the B trans at some time.
