oil temp sender in oil pan ok??

Is it ok to braze oil temp guage sending unit into oil pan?

Why don't you just tap it and use thread sealant or teflon paste/tape? Wouldn't it be kinda stuck there if you brazed/welded it? What if you need to swap pans for some reason? I guess you could just buy a new temp sensor.

greddy has a kit out already tapped with holes for a feed line as well as a gauge.
