Default 97 honda civic auto to manual swap help.

I just swapped a 5spd in my civic but now I can get the key out.. I hooked the neutral safety switch wires together. I also hooked what I think was the wires to tell the pcm that the car was in park ttogether.they were a black wire and as green wire with a white stripe but it still won't come out.. any ideas

the problem is not electrical .
its the wheel lock. it happens.
do yourself a favor.
take off the plastic column trim.
directly under the steering wheel. on the ignition tube.
in the middle is a washer pressed into the middle....thats whats holding your wheel lock in.
take a screwdriver or punch. hammer it into it. brake it out. a spring will fall out. your wheel will be free..but so will the key.

I'm sure there are guides that tell you how to get around this. The car needs to think its in park not neutral.

Your going to have a 2 thick blk wires and 1 blk/blu wire, Solder those 3 together. Those together lets your car think its in park and releases the key and starts your car

^~~~what he said the blk/blue wire is the one that locks the key not the 2 thick wires.
