Where is the Primary O2 sensor location? 2000 Civic EX D16Y8 Engine
Where is the Primary O2 sensor location on a 2000 Civic EX (D16Y8 Engine) Manual transmission?
Based on the image below is I expected to find the primary O2 sensor (#8 in the diagram).
But after taking off the heat shield I found it wasn't there. So where is it located?
And/ or does anybody know what page in the Civic Service Manual I can find the correct diagram showing it's location?
Thanks!

your diagram isn't correct for your motor anyways.
your primary o2 is at the end of the collector behind the motor. #40 in the picture.

Looks like item 40 in the diagram above (not the one originally posted...thats for a DX/CX/LX model). There are 2 O2 sensors. The primary is before the cat.
Thanks guys.
Definitely #40 (or #41 in the diagram below)
In either diagram it's the Honda part #36531-P2P-A01
Damn $210 for the O2 Sensor!
Any decent aftermarket substitutions?
I just want to get the P0131 code to clear (fwiw I've already checked fuse #15 7.5 amp and it's fine)
Thanks again!
