Im thinking about putting a mild cam in my 95 ex d15b. is it worth it on a daily driver? mine is a vtec, is it worth it to change a vtec cam? just wondering.

Waste of money seeing as you'll need to get it tuned afterwards which will be 400$ish, for what 6whp not even just get a DOHC engine and save your self the hassle.

I really hate to say it but may as well just get a 50 shot of nitrous, at least that'd be a noticeable difference. Or if you actually have $$$ B series swap it or turbo the D. A cam alone wouldn't be worth the time or money for such minimal gains.

expect too pay $2-$4k to turbo your car.

Easiest thing is just do a B series swap.

I can get the wrx turbo for under $200, will everything else really cost 2-4k? I only want to run 5-8 psi.

The VF series subaru turbos are proprietary which means you would need a custom manifold built to fit it...essentially negating the cheapness of the turbo itself.

Yes, because on top of that turbo you will need:

-blow off valve
-wastegate (the VF is internal but not all turbos are)
-intercooler
-manifold
-downpipe
-exhaust
-intercooler
-IC piping
-couplers/clamps
-oil lines (to turbo)
-fuel injectors
-fuel pump
-clutch
-Engine Management
-Tuning ($500+)
-odds and ends

It ends up costing a lot more than people think once you realize the number of pieces involved. Also, goals are made in terms of power created, not PSI.
