I have a bad compressor in my 1999 Acura integra LS, but a I can get a compressor from someone that has one from a 97 Honda Civic EX. Will I be able to install it on my integra without making any MODS?

 

Don't quote me on this but if memory serves, you can put a d series ac compressor on a b series engine but you need the bracket off a 97-01 CRV to make it fit. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

 

^^ Yes, but you have to use the CRV or Del Sol vtec mounting bracket.

 

Ah yes, the vtec Del Sol torque mount bracket also works. The CRV ones should be a lot easier to come by though. I'm sure every junk yard has a first gen CRV sitting around.

 

Recently put in a b18c1 in my hatch and for the a/c compressor to mount up I needed a p54 bracket for my particular application r/12 compressor. I tried the p30 bracket first and only two holes would line up on the compressor. Hope that helps you narrow it down.

 

99-00 (b16)civic Si; 96-00 (d16) and the CRV (b20) use the same compressor. the Integra compressor (B18) is different. you can check on autozone, pepboys, what ever auto parts store. To install a d16 (civic) compessor you need the bracket from any B16 , B20, then you can just bolt it up the civic compessor to that B-motor
