so im having trouble with this type r swap im getting three codes and now matter what they come up. i get the o2senser bank 1, CFK and air idle codes. any help?

lol sorry. 1998 honda civic hx type r swap running a p73 tuned ecu. i changed the air idle sensor and did the cfk splice wire trick and nothing

 

Is the engine largely stock then I assume?

Do you have another ecu you could try? And have you checked to make sure you have signal going to these sensors? I'm guessing the car idles funny as well?

 

P73 : 96-00 OBD-2 Integra Type-R (JDM & USDM)

I assume that is the ECU you are running? If so how are you using a tuned OBD2 ECU?

 

no idle and the other ecu i tried was a p2e. the sensors i dont have on my car. they are on the harness but not the motor well the cfk isnt

 

Is it a B18C5, or a JDM engine? If it is a B18C5 you should not have to do the wire splice.

What engine harness are you using? What are the actual codes you are getting?

jdm engine and the harness im using is the harness for the jdm motor i believe i didnt do the work. had it done while i was deployed and i was told it was tuned and it said it on the cover so thats all i really know

 

you can't tune an obd2 ecu. you can't use a RHD engine harness. you really gotta figure out what was done to the car.
