Icon2 Coolant leak

Got a B16a2 freshly rebuilt and recently cranked for the first time. After a few minutes of running it started seeping coolant from the head gasket and even around the exhaust manifold. Opened the oil cap and noticed it was milky. Took the head off in attempt to find the coolant leak. Any tips?

Replace the head gasket. Make sure you clean the mating surfaces well and torque correctly.

Replace the head studs as a precaution. Why was the engine rebuilt?

Check the block and head for warpage.

The mating surfaces must be of the proper finish to seal properly.

If the head is now off, was there any evidence of coolant leakage into the cylinders?

No leakage into the cylinders, no warpage on either surfaces. I will give it another shot with a new gasket. Thanks guys
