96 hatch/Jdm b18c (R) - what A/C Compressor?
I have a 96 hatch with a Jdm b18c (R). I going to put the a/c system back together but I used my compressor from the hatch for my D/d 98 coupe. I change the a/c bracket from a 99-00 civic Si. I was wondering if some one knows what compressor is better to use the one from the CRV (B20) or the Si (B16) I check and both use denso compressor # 471-7050 but the si uses denso compressor # 471-1420.
IS there a difference between the two?
Thanks for the help

you will need to use the same compressor the car came with you dont change nothing but the bracket that you had already said you replaced. good luck brother i went threw the same hassle with my b20b swap in my 98 civic
if your gonna use the civic ac compressor with your b swap, use the crv ac bracket stamped P7J or a p30 off a dohc del sol. those are the only ac bracket able to work with the sohc ac compressor.
P30 bracket from an EM1 is a b series and uses a B series compressor. I know this both because i own an EM1, and i bolted a b series compressor from san Integra into my EM1
my bad deetz, i never owned an em1 so i wouldn't know. So...OP you can use a EM1 Civic DOHC Si stamped P30, a EG2 (Del Sol DOHC VTEC) P30, and a CRV P7J ac bracket

i changed the bracket, the 99-00 civic Si(b16) 96-00 civic (d16) and the crv(b20) use the same compressors. I was wondering if denso compressor # 471-7050 or
denso compressor # 471-1420 which was better. thanks

Your situation is simple to solve. If your car is running stock a/c, the use have a D series setup. With a B18 setup, simple get a crx a/c bracket which allows you to use your stock existing compressor on a B series engine.....problem solved!
no, they don't. D abd B series compressors are different and so are the brackets
