Clutch problem
Hey guys,
So I'm clearly a new member of the site, but I'm very familiar with it, I've used this page to help me out with other problems I've ran into with my teggy. So the problem I ran into about three days ago, my clutch started to lose pressure. I was able to drive it for the next couple of days. I tired to start my car last night, and I wasn't able to get the car in gear. I couldn't engage any of my gears, I've never had any problems with my clutch before.
Info on the Teg.

Thanks guys.

You most likely have a leak or a bad part somewhere in the hydraulic system.
See if there's fluid left in the clutch fluid reservior. If not, find out where it's going. Check behind the clutch pedal (inside the car, under the dash). Or check for an external leak.
You will need to replace the bad component and bleed the system.

I have fluid in the reservoir, it's just below the min line. So if it's a leak, it must be a small leak I'm guessing. Would replacing the whole clutch fix the problem, because I've been wanting to put a new clutch in anyways.

No. You would have to fix that in addition to the clutch. The clutch assy. Itself is totally different than the hydraulic clutch release system.

Your master or slave cylinder might have gone bad. Iduno why the clutch slip question was asked...but the hydraulic system is for releasing the clutch. Not engaging it. So clutch slip would have been another issue altogether.
If you're missing fluid....check under the dash where the clutch pedal attaches to the firewall. I'm fairly sure you'll find fluid there.

Clutches don't just give out randomly. Knowing if the clutch is slipping eliminates the clutch being worn out unless a spring popped out. Process of elimination. But what do I know....
I get where you're coming from, my clutch didn't randomly go out though. I stated that it had been starting to lose pressure for the past week and it wouldn't engage the gear until I had the clutch press more than half way down. I have fluid in my reservoir, it's below the min line though.
