Default Windshield Wiper Problem

My wiper on the driver side only goes up half way and at a much slower pace then the passenger side so it ends up getting stuck under the other one. any suggestions?

sounds like something's wrong with the linkage. open up the cowl panel and check the linkage arms for damage

Bushings are shot. Just get 2 replacement linkages and swap them both out. Pull the cowl, pull the old ones off by hand, then snap on the 2 new ones. It's like $40 and takes 30min

I am doing one of the linkage rods tomorrow actually on my CRV (1st gen), bushings are shot. It could also be that your windshield wiper arms have stripped out as well on the posts, check both.

Definitely something up with the linkage, most likely a bushing like already said.

If you have any questions about removing the cowl, consider me an expert on it. Removed that thing like half a dozen times trying to fix the infamous passenger foot area leak.

Also don't lose those cowl clips, the dealer ship wants 7 DOLLARS A PIECE for them. Ask me how I know...

I bought 20 cowl clips that are exact replicas from China for 5 dollars shipped...hate buying chinesse things but when you break 10 clips the first go round to find the problem and you still have to put the arm in...

Fixed both my CRV and my friend's first gen today, same problem on both, the rod that connects to the wiper motor was shot. 20 bucks shipped from majestic Honda for the rod and cowl clips off ebay for 5 bucks, so much better now.

what size are the cowl clips?

replaced my linkage and wipers are nice now, I really only needed to replace Rod A.

Rod A is the one that is connected to the wiper motor on one end and make sure to mark the tick mark on the wiper motor side with a sharpie so you can line the arrow on your linkage side back up.
