0.48 or 0.63 a/r housing for b18b
Does anyone have experience with either spec? Is the 0.63 gonna spool much later and is the 0.48 that limiting on higher boost if I only want to run abou 6-8 psi? TIA
if you only want to run 6-8psi, get the .48. thats plenty big to make that boost... and will give less lag than the .63.... although, if you ever want to run more boost down the line- you really should get the 63.
perhaps a compromise, and get a .57 trim

if you are only looking to run 6-10 lbs of boost, you'll be happy with the boost response of the .48
and when your looking to run more boost, you can always just buy the .63 a/r turbine housing for only $159
just my 2cents..

I run a .63 turbine on my B18B at 9psi and have full boost at 3700 in 1st gear. It is less in other gears because of the load on the engine. Full boost at 3000 in 4th gear.

sweet! back from the dead. I did end up going with the .48 since I didn't plan to boost higher than 8 psi for the moment
