Default Just a quick question...not lol

Hey guys, sorry if I'm being a posting ***** or anything (pardon the language haha) but I just wanna sort everything out before getting to the Body work on the Driver side I have to do. My logic is get it running the way I want it, then make it look pretty haha. To the question!

So, I put intake, and CD Headers on my 95 Accord EX Coupe 5-speed. I have a myriad of things I want to ask, but I'll keep it simple haha. The car seems a bit lacking in the power area when I step into it. It is VTEc and I know SOHC VTEC doesn't kick hard or anything, but what I would really like to know is, does everyone have the same issue? Are these cars seriously lacking compared to say a F22B DOHC Non Vtec?

Also, my bottom throttle cable seems to have quite a bit of play in it, but if I adjust it any more, it'll run out of threads. Can I attribute to the lack of power? Sorry for all the questions, I just wanna sort it all out. Thanks guys!

If the throttle can not open completely, it will not run the engine at 100%.

VTEC doesn't kick hard, will never kick hard, and the F22B1's with boltons will never be fast.

That's precisely what I thought lol I'll check the Throttle Body to see if it's properly opening and go from there. Thanks for the reply!

You only want a tiny bit of slack in it. I think you're going the wrong way.

So a quick note, on this problem I was having. I'm checking the EGR valve now, and it's clogged but it still moves. Would that be the cause of my no top end power? I also cleaned all the EGR passages, and the EGR passage underneath the EGR valve. Hopefully it'll kill all the problems I'm having. Rough idle or "Hunting idle" kinda all over the place, and sometimes it surges. Still some work to be done lol
