On an AP2 when does VTEC engage?

Hmmmm I swear in my car it sounds like its at 6300 or 6400, can you heart it at 6000? I dont have an intake just the factory airbox so maybe its hard for me to tell.

My AP2 is 100% stock and I hear the crossover and feel the change in power at 6K RPM.

I have read some people experience the crossover anywhere between 5800 and 6000 RPM.

Will it only go at full throttle? Or any amount of throttle?

There is certain criteria to be met before it will engage. The temp has to be so high and you do have to be at xx% throttle.

As you see I don't recall what those numbers are off the top of my head.
