Long story short, changed the o2 sensor in my GSR. Started up the car and drove a full drive cycle(50 miles) and the light stayed on. Checked the wires on the o2, and they're tight. Checked the o2 itself, and it's tight. Checked the wiring at the ecu, and the pins are not loose. Disconnected the battery ALL NIGHT and I'm still pulling a code 1. The program being used is neptune. I've searched and hear that some have to get the codes erased by the tuner, and others just reset it by using the methods listed above. Has this happened to anyone else before?

did you have to re wire the o2 at all or is it jus a llug and play?

 

When your car is tuned in many of the Honda programs, if a CEL code come on. It's the same process or steps as any stock ECU, fix the problem and reset the ECU.

Maybe you are confused with the ability that your tuner have to put your program in OPEN LOOP. Which means your ECU not looking for the O2 sensor.

UPDATE:

Followed the flow diagram, and all signs were pointing that the o2 was good. So, I swapped ecu's with a known good p72. No codes except code 23 (knock sensor, i'm not running one). Plugged the chipped ECU back in, code 1. Went back and checked all of my wiring one more time and noticed that my IAT signal wire was broken. Soldered on a new clip, and no more code.

I guess I really need to start double checking these old harnesses more often...Haha. Thanks for the help, guys. The IAT wasn't reading, causing it to think that the car was running super cold.
