Re: o2 heater cel (b18delturbo)
You need a multi-meter. Unplug the O2 sensor from the main harness. Using the meter to measure the resistance between the two black wires, you should get between 15-40ohms. If it's not in spec, replace it. But knowing that you took a perfectly fine O2 off of one car, put it on yours and it came back burned up, I'd be hesitant to replace it before making sure the ECU is alright.
When you put his O2 sensor back in his car, did you reset his ECU? If you did and then started the car up and this code came on quickly after, the heater section is probably burned up in the O2 sensor.
O2 sensors need to get to about 600*F before they ever spit out a voltage. That's the main reason for the heater section and not so much to burn the crap off of it.
