'90 DA Integra LS / Vtec (problem)
Hi to everyone,
First of all I'll re-introduce myself to you as I sold my old Eg years ago but had bought now this beatiful Integra. This is the only one in Spain. I'm also learning English so please, be patient with me and I apologise for my English.
Well, I bought the car on June as It was "abandoned" on Malaga (south of Spain). I was runing the car for a couple of months when during a travel, the coolant started to boil and then, the head blows.
After this, I tried to find any B18A1 head in Europe without success so I decided to do an Vtec conversion. Well, It's done, but It doesn't start.
I used a B18C4 head as it was a present from a good friend.
New B18A1 head gasket
Vtec oil line
Head Oil line plugged
B16A2 OBD0 NEW Distributor
B18C5 alternator (mine oem was broken had to convert its harness but not conected)
I haven't done any conversion on wiring just to get some wires longer. Still run with oem ECU as at this moment didn't have enough money to fit new pistons, etc... Just want to start the car and use it.
My CEL Don't show any code, the car don't start... It has compression, recheck wiring, fuel pump worked well before the head blows, new spark plugs, new distributor... I don't know what else I can check... Next friday I'll try to make a video to you about how it moves..
Hope you can give an idea of what I should check or try to do...
Here some pics of the car...

You should check if your distributor is throwing a spark if it doesnt check the ecu check for any ground or any wire in the engine compartment you might have taken of when rewiring your alternator
many thanks for your answer. I've checked all grounds, and I haven't modify any plugs, just get the wires longer for the IAT. And as I remmember OBD0 Integras Only has 2 grounds on the engine bay, isnt it? One on the thermostat and the other on the head cover.
Will recheck everything next weekend slowly and make as much pics as I can...
You also think that this should be an ignition issue?
thanks in advance

Remember hondas always have issues with there distributor since sometimes the igniter or the coil pack ends up fried i had my ek dizzy fried on the coil pack bought that new and.worked well again the easy way to check is if someone turns the key while you have a screw driver in one of the sparkplug wires and put it to frame but leave a little gap to see if you can see or hear a spark
Finally I solved it! And It's running!
It was a timming issue ¬¬
Well... One more thing... Do you know If I could run Vtec with stock pistons? (B18A1 block + B18C4head=B18C1?
I've been reading about swaping them for P30 pistons but nothing about going stock...
