if you want OEM you can buy a 95ex harness and extend the vtec wires, because the sohc have the solenoid in the back of the head. But is very straight forward.

If you have the money always a rywire it's awesome!!

For ECU a p28 chipped with whatever program you Prefer.

What ECU you run actually?

Isnt the 95 ex harness obd1 how would that work with a obd2 motor ? This is very confusing to me

Im not sure which computer i have or which one to use

The only thing i know is its a b18b1 and i 99 pr3 head
The car runs now with no issue no cel or anything but on the acutal harness thats on the some wires are not connected to anything and either the vtec solenoid wire was cut or there is none

Any help counts thanks

If it can run to red line with no CEL theres no issue with VTEC.

Easy, Run a obd1 dizzy and alternator, even a complete intake manifold with IAT cause the 99 b16 no have it.

For the ECU take it in your hand and see in the side there's a sticker with numbers 5digit then 3 then 3 more post it.

You are saying the vtec solenoid and pressure switch are disconnected and no CEL and the car run without issue?

Ok my ecu is a p75 ls ecu? The cel light is not ,maybe the light is out..it stops reving at 7200..so i have no future problems im changing the harness and ecu.
How do i know whats obd2 or obd1 things mybe mixed up..the harness that goes into the p75 doednt have a jumper so maybe its a ls obd2 harness with a obd2 ecu..whatever it is i want to change it to get the most out of my lsv

it's a stock p75 so yes it will cut off at 7200. that's normal. get that ecu chipped.

it's not going to be an obd2 harness. that's not possible. and if there's no jumper harness it's not an obd2 ecu either.

obd integras and 92 95 civics have the same harness connectors, you can swap an obd2 integra motor into it with no jumper as long as you use an obd1 ecu.

I know because I have one in my vx.

id think youd need an obd 2 gsr harness, but you would have to verify that your motor is in fact obd2.

As kyden said, Get the ECU chipped and vtec converted.

In the FAQ's there is a thread on how to do conversions of obd's and explain the different plugs colors.

For start check your distributor number in the side of it, this tell what obd it is.

I really appreciate all the quick feedback.
With that being said.the harness that's on here now i would like to change because its all cut up and looks like ****..what harness would bolt right up? Would i have to rewire things like injectors, dizzy, vtec solenoid and what not? And should i just get a p28 ecu? Thanks

before bought anything you need to verify what obd are your accessories.

I.E. injectors, dizzy and alternator.

If you have obd1 acc. go with 92-95ex.

If is obd2 follow the recommendations from instrument.

Any idea how to know if the accessories are obd2 or 1 this is all very confusing to me i used to have a 98 gsr integra everything was so simple. Im assuming the kid who had the car before me got a 96 integra motor tranny and harness from a junk yard and did the lsvtec kit so i doubt think the accessories are obd1 but then again i do not know

dizzy check numbers on the edge of the body to I.D.

Alternator
obd1 = Round plug
obd2 = square plug

injectors

grey plugs with wire clip obd1
black plug with plastic tabs on the sides obd2

TD-68u = GSR obd1

obd1 injectors

but obd2 alternator.

Try to check where you have a spliced plug wherever in the dizzy or alternator.

My Opinion, if all is obd1 less the alternator go with a 92-95ex harness and make the little changes needed to fit.

In the alternator find a obd1 or splice your already obd2 plug.
