Maybe it's because I'm used to trucks but it seems like me civic's low beams are terrible. High beams are decent, but relative to anything (except dodge rams) I've driven the low beams are just awful, they're more like a half-assed glow than a forward light. I replaced the bulbs with a nice $40 set of name brand bulbs which helped, just not much. I see a lot of fog lights, from my experience with trucks they're mostly for looks but do they actually help on civics or not really? I'd even be ok with a set of ricer one piece headlights if they help, but I'm not going hid. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chase

You pretty much summed up my thoughts on my headlights. Not saying this will work but a set of aftermarket headlights with clear lens plus HID kit may work better. For the record I hate those kits LOL

Has anyone ever run some off-road lights in the bumper? I'm talking like two 100w lights. I'm just not a fan of HID's as I've never seen them pulled off well except when people put serious money into them, which is cool. My car just isn't worthy of a $300+ set of headlights.

Thanks,
Chase

Just ordered a set of these, they're supposed to be seriously bright. They aren't listed on the website anymore unless you follow a link and stores can no longer order them but its says they're still in stock online. I figured for $25 shipped if I hate them I'll just save'em for a future project.

Thanks,
Chase

every civic i have owned the headlights are like driving with vague candles 4' in front of the car.

i run 8k (white) hid's w/hidden slim ballast and they work good bit better.

hids in reflector housings are horrible, they are more annoying if anything. do a projector retrofit with a clear lens for best results.

EDM LHD headlights are better than USDM ... still not fantastic, though.
