Icon6 p28 issue, please help!

Last month I had a p28 blow a capacitor for the fuel pump rendering it useless.

Friend of mine lent me a p72 to use for the meantime.

Finally find another p28. Plugged it in and started up fine. Took it for a drive and cut off on me about 15 min later.

Opened it up and everything looked fine. Plugged it back in and fired it up and let it run for a few minutes until it died again.

Currently back on p72 which runs somewhat fine. (No different than when I intially used it)

Any ideas on what the p28 issue could be?

Car is a 94 CX with Z6 motor in it.

previous said he had it in his car working fine before he did a swap. Only thing about it was it was a auto convert ecu. r17 and r18 had been removed with a jumper wire into r18.

haven't tried it in another car yet. not chipped.

if the only thing you changed was the ecu and it still dies i render the ecu is bad, try testing it in another car.

okay hopefully i get that done this week.

just for sake of argument....this is 100% leaning towards the ECU?

seeing as how the p72 still runs when in use.

Check whether you have any sensor connectors swapped. That's a common way to blow an ECU.

Make sure all sensor connector wires (color) match to the sensor (e.g., IACV, ECT, TPS, MAP, VTEC, etc.)

Especially the EVAP and IAT sensor, this is very common. Check your connections by this:

Had some time finally to check the connections and all seemed good.

Is it possible the coil or icm is going bad?

I agree with Ron, Also, just make sure everything is grounded properly, ugly looking grounds are a danger to everything electric.
