d15b oil capacity?

Default d15b oil capacity?

hi guys. hope every body is fine. guys i have swapped a d15 b dual vtec jdm motor in my civic i wanted to ask you that how much quantity of oil does this engine takes as i have poured 3.5 litres of oil( with filter) in it but when i checked the oil level few days later it was more than the full mark. so need your advice thanks here is a reference picture of the engine

Shouldn't be any different than any other D series, 3.5-3.8 quarts with filter change.

thanks for replying Sir. sir i just wanted to confirm the exact amount as previously i have poured 3.5 litres of oil and also changed the filter but it was more than the upper mark . sir also tell me when the oil should be checked like it should be checked in the morning or after some drive.thanks

You used liters instead of quarts?

3.5L should be fine. Maybe its so clean it looks like it isn't showing up? Either way that level should be fine.

guys i have extracted extra oil i just wanted to ask all members that is 0.25 quart of extra oil harmful for the engine ?

No it wont hurt it. Unless its stupid overfilled like 2 qts them it might bend rods ect. a half qt over should be no issue
