Default dc shortshifter problem

aight, i was intalling the short shifter adapter onto the car and i'm putting the shifter cable thingy on and tightenin the nut when bam, snap, aww ****, the bolt snaps. I emailed dc askin if theyd replace it or whatever, but i'm wondering if the bolt can be taken out and replaced? here's a pic of what i'm talkin bout.

Picture doesn't link correctly. In any case, if it's just a bolt just get to your hardware store and buy a new one. No need to bug DC about something that you can easily fix. If you're talking about the bolt on the shifter, you're just SOL.

hmmm, someone needs to lemme know how to post pics. Do the links work? The thing is, it's the stud/bolt that's a part of the short shifter, I'm wondering if I could take this out somehow and just replace it.

same thing happened to me. I took out the shifter and welded a new stud made from a modified bolt on.

cant weld it to the short shifter, its aluminum. I cut off the remaining stub on the shifter itself and welded a new stud onto the shifter.
