Default Clutch

Well, its time to replace my rear main seal on my civic. Its a mini me swap y7/y8 cold air engine. I am thinking that once I have the tranny off its gonna need a new clutch. (guy who sold it was sketchy about maintenance) I was researching clutch kits and specifically an exedy stage 1 kit.

Im just looking for something a little bit more durable and that will engage better. What do you guys think??

You'll be chattering all over the town with a stage anything clutch.

Exedy OEM clutch kit will be a fantastic improvement.
It will seriously be like driving a new car if you're running on a very worn POS currently.

While you have the trans off make sure you check the flywheel for hot spots and such also. I'm pretty sure you should have it machined when replacing the clutch but am not entirely sure since I installed a lightweight flywheel when I replaced my clutch. Good luck.

Yes, when replacing the clutch, you should always have the flywheel turned.

Yeah I figured that much. Gonna see how much it costs once I find a decent machine shop around my area.
