Default P28 10 minute prime

Hello,

I recently bought a 95 del sol d16 with zc block and HC pistons. the guy gave me 2 ecus, 1 p28 uninstalled and one non vtec from another car installed in the car.

With the non vtec ecu the car starts, and run all fine but with the p28 when cold it will not prime the fuel pump, so i just waited there with the key in the on position and eventually after like 10 min i can hear the pump priming and i can is all good, i can even turn off the car and back on again without any problems but if i let the car sit for a long period of time (overnight) i have to wait those like 10 min or so.

So ive been reading and stuff, i went ahead and chipped the p28 and i even changed C14 capacitor but it still doing the same. I dont see any leaking or burned components.

I really want to fix this ECU as its working great except the initial priming when cold.

Thanks in advance.

Is the non vtec ecu chipped at all ....and the p28 could have something wrong with it internally causing it to malfunction, which is why when you bought the car it had the other ecu installed ....are you running stock injectors?

the non vtec is not chipped, the ecus came from different cars, as he buys them, fix them and sell em. Doing more research its seems that the TA8903SN chip may be the culprit.

So, i tried to get the chip locally from a guy that repairs them here in PR but the response I got was "sorry I do not sell the components separately" so if you guys know a reliable source to get it, it will be really appreciated.

Have them cut a basemap for you, if you really think that's the problem. Call them up and tell them EXACTLY what you have.

The car tunes ok with the sst chip, the problem is the ecu itself, especially the TA8903SN chip or supervisor chip that causes the problem I have when it goes bad.
