Default 96 civic lx won't start after unplugging the battery fuse

Hey Guys, just bought this 1996 honda civic was having some rough starting problems. I replaced the O2 sensor, & spark plug wires cables & a few other things. Car started right up problem fixed but I read somewhere if you unplug the battery fuse the check engine light will turn off so I did plugged it back in & it wont start at all. The lights & radio work but no sign of it starting..I even replace the ignition, battery, clutch fuses & nothing! Anyone have any Ideas since this car was working perfectly before I touched this fuse..Thanks for yout help
