Default Cutting the oem itr crank pulley to remove weight, power steering, and air condition?

Hi guys,

This is for my autox car (SMF):

I'm thinking about cutting the stock itr crank pulley to remove the ribs that normally carry the a/c and power steering belts.

I know that some people run the n1 crank pulley.
I hesitate to go with the n1 pulley bc there's no harmonic dampening.

I would have my cut pulley balanced after it is cut.

Thoughts?

I lathed the power steering ribs off of my pulley. No need to rebalance after if you properly center the pulley before machining. It took 5 minutes and done....

Is the ATI pulley lighter than a cut stocker?

I know it'll be cheap if I cut the oem pulley.

Any issues with the pulley coming apart from the rubber balancer? I think this is something that has always worried me about doing this mod to my own pulley.

The power steering ribs stick out past the rubber insulator. When you remove the power steering ribs you are dead even with the rubber insulator. You don't even touch it. I had about 200 1/8 mile passes on mine before the rebuild and still going strong.
