Default Custom exhaust help

Well im pretty sure that custom is the way for me. i have a 92 vx and my 2.5" dp should be here anyday and im tired of running my stock vx exhaust(its soooo small). what is a recommended muffler and i have a friend who can weld steel(but not Al), so info on parts to buy, what mandrel bends etc would be very very helpful. and im trying to keep the costs looooowwwww. let me stress low.

For the mandrel piping go to http://jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=180618&BQ=jcw2 and be creative as to what bends you need.

For the muffler, I've heard good things about the N1-style canisters.

anyone know which bends to use an a 92-95 vx? kinda hard to get under there and measure, so if anyone knows that would be great.

how about two 90 bends for the b pipe or one u bend if that's cheaper...and two 45's for the over the rear lower control arm. the 45's go like this:
>> ____ _(muffler)
> /
_/(lca here)

____________ground

I like magnaflow mufflers and jc whitney bends

where is a good place to get the flanges and hangers? and should i get a resonator? and is the aluminized steel fine for exhaust, or should i get ss? the "aluminized" stuff is just an anti rust coating?

I got the flanges from a local exhaust shop and made the hangers out of a solid steel tube from home depot though you could get the hangers from an exhaust shop too.

I used aluminized steel and round magnaflow mufflers as resonators. I used two resonators, but you probably could use just one or none if you don't mind the noise.

jc whitney charges too much for their bends, if you wanna keep the cost down order from summitracing.com, get the dynomax mandrel bent piping, youll save 30-50% if you go with dynomax bends.

i got a custom downpipe from my turbo made from a muffler shop, then i bought thermal r&d exhaust that bolted right to that. it was alot easier that way.

its a hearse because it usually carries around things that are dead or are almost there. hence you being an old man.

Yes, me being only a year older than you makes me an old man. Oh and I dont think these cars even comes close to looking like a hearse

maybe this one because of its color but I think I should put a hitch on my car to hual yours after it dies on you. Then I guess you could call it a hearse lamer!
