Default Running lean, have question

Just got the car running yesterday on Hondata base map. It's running a bit lean, my spark plugs tips are on the white side. I have only been going about half throttle when boosting, maybe 65-70% throttle at the most. I do hit max boost of 7psi though. Should I be going wot when boosting so the engine gets maximum fuel delivered to it? Is it a correct assumption that if I'm hitting full boost but only have the pedal down half way that the engine is only getting half the fuel it needs? Would going full throttle actually be safer than going half throttle? Maybe the Hondata base maps are tuned to provide fuel for boost under full throttle only or something, I dunno...Any ideas?

Hondata base maps are not the best ones in the world, they are basically used to allow your car to crank up so you can get it on the dyno and tune it. I wouldnt recommend boosting your car that much with the base map, if you are running too lean you could detonate. I recommend going to a dyno and letting them tune it for you before you go around boosting.

Yea I know the basemaps are not supposed to be used as a replacement for a tuned map. I am waiting to get my pocket programmer them I'm going to tune in a couple weeks. I was just curious if my assumption was correct, that's all. Because if it is, I should be able to boost on the base map and be mostly safe.

Hondata says that theoretically you should be able to use the base map and be ok boosting. However, my basemap was horrible. It started my car right up but if i would have went around boosting i would have definetely blown my motor. Im not complaining at all, hondata gets a big from me. You know you are running lean, so i would recommend laying off the boost until you have a chance to tune it.

No your assumption is not correct. Fueling is mainly calculated by MAP sensor and rpm (yes other sensors do affect it).
