92 GSR HID HELP PLZ!
One of my hid went out yesterday, thought i could just change ballast or bulb cause i had one that i got with my db2. My db2 has jdm stanley one peice headlights (i didnt put the hids in) has xenon 8000k bulbs with 35w ballast, one side went out and i tried putting a new bulb and ballast in and that didn't work. Traced the problem down to this plug wire that i will show a pic of. Not sure if previous owner used factory connection and splice it into the hid ground/positive wire, or if this is something i can order. I need a new ballast as well. Did a bunch of troubleshooting and side thats out wont work without the plug and ballast from the working side. i interchanged all the parts and i believe those are just the two things i need. On password jdm they have xenon hid lighting kid for like $99 but im currently on a budget and don't want to spend alot. They have a headlamp jumper harness, and a headlight wiring harness h4/h4h. Im not sure what the 9004 or h4/h4h all means or what i need to order. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have to get my headlights working so i can drive asap.
sorry for terrible pic
one side is positive/ground that goes into ballast
other side is a blue weird shaped with 3 spots for pins and only two inside

That aside, you're in the wrong forum for this. We have a dedicated lighting forum for a reason.
9004 is a bulb type. So is H4. A simple Google search would have informed you of this.
The only correct solution is to throw away all of that HID crap and use what your housings were designed for, halogen bulbs.
What's stopping you from just taking out that HID harness and plugging the oem harness back into an H4H bulb for the JDM headlights? That blue plug isn't OEM and the H4H bulb needs a 3 pin connector. Those HID kits are just an inline plug and play situation. It's a matter of unplugging the OEM plug into the conversion harness and replacing the factory bulb. You can't get H4H bulbs at the auto parts store though so you'll have to order them.
Okay got everything worked out for my HID's, i never used my fogs because one would always go out and you would have to play with the wires for it to turn on. Turns out it is this connector next to my stock headlight harness that plugs into my jdm one peices other side of the connector. I went to the junkyard looking for another one because it isn't making a good connection i guess one of the pins is messsed up. I couldn't find one they only had 90-91 integras and mine is a 92 don't know if that matters. Just wondering if anyone knows if this is a common connector that i can get somewhere or order because i want to use my fogs. Also check the bulb inside my jdm one peices fogs to make sure it was good and the bulb is good, but the yellow bulb actually inside the headlight is busted. Any clue how i would get another to fix it, guessing id have to take off clips bake the headlight take it apart, but where would i get another yellow inside for the headlight?
thanks
