Default 2009 Accord 4 cylinder

Has anyone else experienced an unusually high and unacceptable level of oil consumption in the 4 cylinder? I have been told there was a consumption problem by a service desk rep at the dealership. If I remember right it was for 2008 - 2011 4 cylinders. It seems, though, that Honda's acceptable limit for oil consumption is 1 quart per 1000 miles. For the first time my care ran low on oil around 78 - 79k 1 month after an oil change. I've never owned a car or truck that has used that much. Anyone else find this level of usage unacceptably high?

Oil filter and drain plug tight? What weight oil did you use?
