help me identify this clunk noise in gear Civic MT 97
This is the noise in this video link:
The sound is loudest from 0:28 onwards when I let the car coast in gear and suddenly give it a sharp jolt of gas, it does not make the sound at all when I rev the engine in neutral or when clutch is depressed).
This clunk noise sounds like it is coming from my manual transmission but I have no problems shifting or getting into gear.
First off I have double checked all the ball joints (upper, lower),control arm bushings, tierods and they are all brand new and no play whatsoever, also it does not make the noise when going over bumps.
Also I have checked the mounts, I replaced the left lower front mount as that was broken but it made no difference.
Really stumped as I have crawled under the car and looked and pushed and prodded and cant find anything loose or rubbing or hitting. I read somewhere that it might be the differential? Please help, so far the only symptom of the problem is the noise and I have no shifting issues but I dont want to end up stranded!

will do it this weekend and hope they can have better luck than me finding the stupid noise.
already went under the car twice to shake and check the torque of everything I could think of and still could not find the clunk.
well I think I finally found the cause of the noise, the flywheel cover (red circle) I think was installed wrongly (my fault), I removed and reinstalled the exhaust pipe 'A' and the engine stiffener and the flywheel cover and the clunk disappeared, so it could have been any of those components but I am pretty sure the flywheel cover was the cause (even though every bolt was tight when I checked before taking the parts off).
