97 Integra grinding noise while in gear
First of all the car shifts 100% fine, without any problems, it does not pop out of gear nor grind going into ANY gears- it feels like its 100% normal...except for this noise.
Today while I was driving for the first time ever I noticed a noise, The noise does NOT happen when im in neutral and reving the car, clutch in or out...no difference ..no noise at all. There is no noise engaging the clutch IN or OUT at ALL. The noise ONLY happens when im actually IN the gear and driving under load, and it happens from like the first gear to the third gear, a constant grinding/metal to metal noise coming from tranny that continues to match the revs of motor in acceleration, it then goes away.
What possibly could have gone wrong from night to day?

Sounds like main shaft bearing and possibly a clutch issue. I did a trans 2 weeks ago that has the to bearing stuck to the pplate caused noise a lot. Also main shaft bearing was eating itself for lunch.

Hmmm, the only thing that only moves when in gear and car moving is the differential and the drive shafts.
I would put the front end up on jackstands and see if you can localize the noise to see/hear if it is in the transmission or outside the transmission, [drive shafts, wheel bearings] maybe. 94
