clutch/pedal/bleeding advise
Hey all, I have a 97 accord 5 speed, f22b2
, that has a bit of an issue..it still can drive after i "warm" the issue up, but, heres what it is...I get in the car after not driving for a few days, and go to push in the clutch..it starts the car but the clutch feels useless and goes to the floor. it comes back up but no "pressure" behind it..if I start pumping the clutch, like oldschool brakes, it starts to firm up and eventually it is normal. I have replaced the master cylinder recently and the clutch was replaced 5000 miles ago. Its like there is air in the line but I dont know how it could have gotten there. any info or advice on places to check would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever you replace the master clutch cylinder, the hose that connects the reservoir with the mcc will always have air in it that needs to be pushed out before trying to bleed the system. To do this, as soon as you have everything attached and have added fluid to the top of the reservoir and before trying to bleed the system gently squeeze the connecting hose with your fingers from the bottom to the top while the person in the car pumps the clutch. You will see air bubbles rise to the top of the reservoir. This is the trapped air. After the bubbles have stopped bleed the system.
