Default 97 ek b16 cel code 4 limp mode

I have currently done a obd1 b16 swap in my 1997 civic dx. I now have everything hooked up and wired in and its in limp mode. I have a cel code 4 on and I can not figure out what I did wrong. I have tried a p61 ecu and a p30 ecu and also 2 distributers. I have looked over the wiring 1000 times and cannot find anything worng. Please help. I need my car.

Also I have tried 2 different clusters and the rpm gauge on either of them works. I'm thinking these 2 problems are connected. Help please!

How exactly did you do your OBD1 wiring?

Also, you have an EJ6, not an EK.

I used my stock obd2a harness and I just converted the plugs.

So you depinned and repinned it yourself? You messed something up. Either repin it back to OBD2A, and run an OBD2A distributor, or repin it back to OBD2A, and buy a conversion harness.

I have looked over this distributer wiring 100 times because I also thought I messed something up and nothing is wrong.

If you have tried multiple distributors and still have the problem, it's obviously in the wiring.

So what should I be looking for in my wiring?

You should look for damaged, improperly pinned, or disconnected wires. A voltmeter would be your best friend right now. Or just return the harness to stock, and run a proper dizzy, or an adapter harness.

Minimal resistance through the plug, and minimal resistance from the plug to the ECU. Good money on you having wired something wrong, still.

Okay so when I go and check for resistance what numbers should I be looking for. And would this make sense why my rpm gauge isn't working?
