Default ICM question... pleaseeeeeeee help!!!!!

My car is a 96 honda accord with f22b sohc jdm motor non vtec. Instead of opting to transfer oil pumps to make the swap work i opted to splice wires.

I went from external coil to internal coil. My question is, im not sure if internal coil icm's and external coil icm's are interchangeable. I located an external coil icm for cheap and wanted to know if it would fit and work? Are the terminal post schematics on the icm the same on all icm's? I know the wires color codes are different depending on vtec or non vtec but are the terminals the same on all icms? tach, coil, input etc???

Please if someone has an obd2 accord with a obd 1 jdm swap that spliced distributor wires ... please please tell me how you made it work? what internal coil distributor did you use???

the icm's look different but have the same specs...you really should just pick up a distributor conversion kit from rywire.com it'll save you a lot of trouble

you can't have it both ways..you either need to convert to obd1 or you need to swap over the oil pump assemblies

Maybe i didnt articulate correctly.
Im using my original usdm obd2 engine harness. Im using all my wiring because the car is a 96 accord. Instead of switching oil pumps i opted to use the jdm distributor because the sensors that are needed that are on the usdm oil pump are inside the jdm dizzy. Im pretty certain that the icm in the jdm dizzy is fried. Can i insert the icm that was in my usdm dizzy into the jdm dizzy.

that wont work...you need to either swap to obd1 or swap the oil pump and crank timing pulley

just swap the oil pump and crank timing pulley over to the new engine like you're supposed to and use your old distributor...don't make things hard for yourself

"17 37840-P0A-A01 SENSOR ASSY., CRANK-TDC"

The crank sensor and tdc sensors are at the oil pump. Normally the Helms isn't wrong. I'm not sure why it would say that, assuming that really is a Helms and is the correct one for your car.
