yea i was wondering whats the difference between a internal and external distributor oh and i was wondering if an jdm a20a distributor would be a internal or external im asking this because i just found out that the last owner had put one on my f22a1 motor and i would like all the information i can get

 

i think what you mean is an external and internal COIL. As far as i kow all obd2 cars have internal coils. They both do the same thing, just less wires. you can rewire an external to be internal if you are good with wiring.

 

and vise versa
