voltage from vss to speedometer, 5v?
I have been on this issue on my 1994 civic dx for months now and I want to get the dash put back together.
speedometer quit working one day and I have tried the following
replaced the vss, instrument cluster, cleaned ALL connections in car and under hood, traced all wiring for grounding issues (nothing), checked all fuses, scan tool - no errors, and finally tested to voltage back to cluster and was getting about 5v at the contacts.
I have another cluster that I will be able to test out later this week, but is there something I missed. ECU bad? I'm at my wits end, but I gone too far to give up. Any suggestions?

Does your CEL work and are you getting a VSS code?
To test the VSS jack up the drivers front wheel, connect a volt meters negative lead to the ecu A26 terminal and the positive to B10. Turn the ignition to the run position (key on engine off) and rotate the front tire by hand. Your meter should read a pulsing 0-12V if the VSS is functioning.
