I have a SiriusXM Lynx Radio with a direct power connector and need to connect it to the fuse panel on a 2013 Honda Civic EX-L. The radio will be sitting on the passenger side dashboard. Any recommendations on a good route through the firewall to the fuse panel on this model Civic?

 

Can you not connect it to the fuse box under the dash?

 

I have to claim ignorance I am a novice when it comes to electrical work in cars. I thought the fuse box was in the engine compartment these days

I guess I need to do some more homework.

 

There's one in the engine bay as well as under the dash. You should be able to wire it to the one under the dash.

 

Boy do I feel dumb. I am installing this http://store.xmfanstore.com/myfihrdpwr.html and am clueless how to do it. From your input I understand now I can go direct to the in cab fuse box. Next question how do I actually wire it into the fuse box?

 

Don't feel bad. automotive electrical / wiring is a whole nother monster
