94 accord vtec: wont rev past 4000

Have you checked that the crankcase for oil fill? Low oil/pressure will not let VTEC kick in.
I would have to check it when i get to the car i havent been driving it if its all f***** up lol but my homeboi works at acura he told me the same thing so ima change the oild and sparkplugs soon so hopfully that helps alot
1994 You Can Self Jump. Codes Will Flash On your Check Engine Light Indicator (On The Gauge Cluster) Long Flash = 10, Short Flash = 1.
Jumping Is Simple. You need a small piece of wire bent in a U-Shape. Placed on the Diagnostic Plug. Turn Key to On-Position. OBD-1

or Just check the codes which would point you in the right direction out of the gate. Your car is in Limp Mode. Engine Safety Protocol. Check Codes.

It's doing the same thing ? What exactly did he do ? What did he say was the fault ? Check for stored codes. Just because it doesn't act like there's a code stored doesn't mean there isn't one. Also, this does tend to be an oil pressure problem as this issue tends to happen with vtec cars.
First thing, check under the oil pan for a dented oil pan. This can cause low oil pressure as the pickup has less access to oil.
