My car has been acting weird for a few months now. I've been trying to find common scenarios that would cause these issues but I'm never able to manually replicate them. Seems completely random.


Every few times I start my car I'll get one of the following:
#1 - runs fine. Perfect idle, no bog, all electrical works fine.

#2 - idles low (300-400), will bog from 2k-3k rpm, and my turn signals will blink faster then normal

Anyone have any suggestions before I start throwing parts at it?

I'm going to remove the ecu and grease connectors today (del Sol, does leak down the passenger side). But the issues don't always happen in the rain

 

Don't start throwing parts at it! Unless you Have money to blow, then in that case take it to a shop, if not diagnose very thing first.
Sounds like a wire is not making good contact somewhere or is shortig out.

When the problem happens, does the CEL turn on?

When was the last ignition system tune up?

Have you checked all turn signal bulbs and sockets?

 

No CELs while its happening.

Tune up done in February, less then 5k ago. (All OEM)

All bulbs and sockets look / work normal (aside from when they blink fast)

You don't always see electrical problems. Voltage test wire and socket with a multimeter.

 

Tune up consisted of:
All OEM plugs, wires, cap, rotor, all filters and fluids, pads and rotors. Cleaned IACV, Fast idle and intake. Valves adjusted and base timing double checked. Sure I'm forgetting something

A/C and P/S removed. Battery and salt test good. All bulbs reading the same while under power / blinking.
