94 Del Sol GSR Starting Issue
Hi,
My problem has been getting worse over the last few months. I try and start my car and it clicks once and won't turn over. Sometimes if I hold the key in the start position for a few seconds it will turn over. Other times if I keep trying to start it, it will turn over eventually. Most of the time when it wont turn over I have to push start it. Any ideas what causing this problem?
Idk if this has anything to do with it but my car also has a very low idle. When I start it cold it will start up normally but the RPM gauge will go down to almost 0 and go up to about 600-700 and bounce off that. It doesn't ever really have a normal 750 rpm idle.
Any help is appreciated.

Do you have to hold the clutch pedal down while starting? If not, the jumper wire in the plug is loose. Most people just strip both ends of a wire, and jam both ends in the plug, after a few months/years of driving, the vibrations cause it to rattle loose. That's the 1st thing id check.
