Is a bit of a hard read........

OP- Can you give us the code you are getting? Also confirm the engine size, 4 or 6 cyl.

First - I'm sorry for the run around and BS. Please don't take my post the wrong way....really want to help but have to understand the issue before that can happen.....and by no means am I an expert/

Ok, you have a "cyp" code. Do you have a volt meter for testing?

I'm not a fan of throwing parts at a car but if you can find a dist in a bone yard for a 96-97 Accord then that is another option.

Not in this gen but some of the others would throw this with a bad alt......doesn't hurt to have a parts store - or yourself - test the alt under load (lights on, blower to max, ac on, ect).

This code it going to stand for one of the following:

Corroded electrical terminals leading to the distributer

-Defective or weak Ignition coil

-missing or incorrectly installed ignition coil shield

-alternator diodes or regulator failing causing irregular line noise

-damaged sensor wire (usually yellow with a purple jacket where shielding begins.

-Defective ECM or PCM

-Faulty Cylinder Position Sensor.

This sensor for your vehicle is down by at the lower timing cover at the crank/oil pump housing. For the '94 '95 accords its in the distributor
