d16z6 build. y8 head?
I am in the early stages of a d16z6 build. horsepower goal is around 350. I have fjt custom length rods and vitaras. I was told with a stock z6 head gasket I will be in the really high 8's to low 9's for compression, can anyone verify this?
I am also considering a y8 head. with still the same z6 head gasket and same internals. if I did the y8 head how would that effect my compression?
I plan to do supertech valves and the crower springs and retainers. and the z6 cam gear to compensate the timing.
thanks

Kind of hard to determine compression with no specs on the rods and pistons. Search honda compression calculator on google and enter all you information and it will give you the compression.
Use an online compression ratio calculator to figure it out (they have specific ones for your engine and you can enter in whatever variation you have), or do the math.
if u have the custom length rods you should be near stock compression or 9:1... the y8 head and y8 gasket will raise compression alil... they z6 and y8 headgaskets are the same gasket...fyi
