92 Civic electrical issues
I just bought a 92 civic hatchback which has numerous electrical issues. I think I have the taillights sorted out, but even though I had voltage from both of the red connectors on the dimmer switch, (sorry, no dash lights), once I jumped the connector to the dimmer switch I have no voltage at the connector at all. Did I short something out and blow a fuse? It's really hot right now so I'm going to get into some A/C and cool off for a bit. If anyone has some advice I would be eternally grateful.

probably man, check your fuses...and if ALL the brake lights are out and the bulbs are good check the stoplight switch. its behind the brake pedal. and unless you have already swap your a/c to R134 then you're SOL.
O.K., getting back to work on the car and I have more things to say:
1) Driver's side rear brake light and directional work intermittently. Pretty sure it's a rusty ground wire that was spliced badly.
2) No dashboard illumination. Since I tried to to use the jumper on the dimmer switch connector, I've noticed I have no running lights either. I am really not certain I had them before that, but I think I did.
3)The heater blower does not work either.
Is it possible for there to be a common cause for all or most of these?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Here's an update. The schematic or pin-out, whatever you want to call it, inside the fuse cover was totally inaccurate. I now have running lights, but no dash illumination. I had to go through every fuse one by one and replaced anything that was blown. My next step, as I see it, is to pull the connector off the heater blower and see if I have voltage there. If not, how do I test the blower relay?
